James Trumbly, a dedicated pickleball instructor with a strong foundation in competitive tennis. With over 20 years of experience on the court, James brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to every lesson/event. James discovered the excitement of pickleball and is passionate about sharing that love with others.
Focusing on building strong fundamentals in a supportive environment, he caters to players of all skill levels. Outside of teaching, James can be found running Townlake, mountain biking, wake surfing, skiing, playing table tennis, enjoying live music and grubbing on Texas BBQ. Bruno Snyder was born and raised in Lima, Peru. He represented his country at the Junior Davis Cup in two different occasions. Following that, Bruno moved to Texas and resided at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch where he competed in the Junior USTA sanctioned tournaments. Bruno achieved a ranking high of 4 in Texas in 14U. He later played in the ITF Junior Circuit prior to college and reached a ranking of top 500. In college Bruno played my first two seasons at Lamar University and transferred to finish his final seasons at Prairie View A&M University graduating with his Bachelors in Business Management. Bruno stayed on as the Graduate Assistant Coach where he graduated with his MBA in Business Administration.
Bruno has been a teaching pro at River Oaks Country Club, The Houstonian and most recently he is the Assistant Director of Racquets for Westwood Country Club in Austin, TX.
Sarah was born and raised in south of France, where she reached the Junior Tennis ranking of #8. Sarah has also competed in a number of international tournaments throughout Europe. At 18, Sarah came to America with a tennis scholarship in 2016 and became All-American in doubles and number 15 of the nation in singles.
2019-2020-2021 : Sarah graduated from her bachelor and obtained her Master of business Administration (M.B.A) while playing number 1 singles and doubles on her college tennis team. Her team finished number 4 in the nation and won the conference and season 2020-2021 title.
In addition, Sarah has received multiple honors, player of the year, player to watch, dean’s list, and all decade team player. She also achieved the ranking of #16 in the USA for Padel in 2024!
After teaching racquet sport in one of the prestigious country clubs in America (Hamptons, River Oaks Country Club) she obtained her tennis and Pickleball certification (PTR & PPR). Sarah recently moved to Austin to continue building on her passion for the games!
Mac Roy, a former Division I tennis player at Michigan State University, is originally from Austin, Texas. He holds a degree in Kinesiology, equipping him with a strong foundation in biomechanics and athletic performance across various sports. Mac specializes in coaching elite athletes and is widely recognized for his accomplishments in tennis.His impressive junior career includes:
At Michigan State, Mac played number 1 singles and doubles for the Spartans. As a sophomore, he captured the Big Ten Doubles Championship and went on to earn an NCAA national ranking of #36.
Mac’s passion for racquet sports has recently expanded into the growing world of pickleball. He currently serves as the Adult Tennis Coordinator at Westlake Country Club, where he continues to develop and mentor high-level players.
Chris Moore is a Texas native and is enthusiastic and passionate about tennis, padel and pickleball. Chris has been a teaching pro for almost 20 years at elite clubs such as Southern Hills Country Club, River Oaks Country Club and the Houstonian. Chris played a high level of Division 1 tennis for Oral Roberts and his junior years was equally impressive having been ranked as high as 15 in the Texas Super-Champs division. Chris is a certified pro with the USPTA in Tennis and a certified pro with the FIP and USPA. Chis qualified to play Padel for Team USA 2019, in 2020 was ranked as high as #2 in the USA in padel and had a world ranking inside the top 400. In 2022, Chris qualified and participated in the APP Houston Men’s Pro Pickleball Singles Tournament.
Chris has taught racquet sports at all levels and really enjoys improving his students in all aspects of their game.
